If there is one person who is struggling the most because of Pandmic, it is our house help, laborers, vegetable and fruit sellers, rehri planters, etc. Some of us continued to pay our house help a salary, half a salary, but many did not pay them.
I called him today and asked him to join from the 1st because our society had started doing Mad Allow. She said that you can come only if you increase the money. He had done it before, I increased my salary and he rejoined.
BuDon’t believe me, but made will remain made. She will treat you well as long as you are nice to her and her courage is such that she will hurt you only when you need her.
Today I am feeling sad and angry with myself. We give them everything they need, but when it comes to us, they start flirting as if we are working for them. ‘

This is the normal practice in most of the corporate offices of Mumbai. Separate toilets, separate dining halls, separate cutlery for officers and workers.

I’m pretty sure these are people who didn’t pay their maids anything during lockdown but expected their own salary to continue flowing in! 😒
