Expected for December 17 in the United States on CBS All Access, Stephen King’s miniseries, The Scourge, is revealed in an apocalyptic trailer!

Famous horror writer Stephen King returns with a 9-episode miniseries: The scourge. For the occasion, the author has rewritten part of his novel of the same name published in 1978, to offer us a post-apocalyptic series that promises to be wonderful!

After unveiling a first teaser, CBS All Access presented a trailer at New York Comic Con 2020. We discover some survivors lost in Colorado, after part of humanity has been wiped out by a virus . They will try to live in harmony with Mother Abigail, 108 years old (Whoopi goldberg). But not everything will turn out like a fairy tale. Indeed, the group of survivors will have to prepare for a terrible war against Randall Flagg, who possesses supernatural powers, and his gang.

For those who have read the book and have seen the 1994 series before, forget their conclusion, as the ending has been completely reworked by Stephen King.

In the casting, we therefore find Whoopi Goldberg, who is no longer presented. But also Alexander Skarsgård (Big Little Lies, True Blood), Amber Heard (Aquaman), James Marsden (Dead to me), Odessa Young, Jovan Adepo, Owen Teague, Henry Zaga, Brad William Henke and many more.

The series will air from December 17 in the United States on CBS All Access with one episode per week.
