Born on 19 August 1967 in Hedrabad, Andhra Pradesh, his father’s name was Buchpuram Nadella and he was an IAS officer. Satya Nadella joined Microsoft in 1992 and has been associated with the company ever since. He worked on many schemes while being associated with the company for so long. He got his start at Server Group at Microsoft. He then worked in Software Division, Online Services, Research and Development, Advertising Platform and then returned to the Server Division as Head.
He led cloud computing at Microsoft and was instrumental in making the company one of the world’s largest cloud infrastructure.
He served as Senior Vice President in the Online Services Division and Vice President in the Microsoft Business Division.
