A case of abduction of about 38 women and children by 100 armed men has been reported in Jhalawar, Rajasthan. However, all these have been safely freed by the police. Rajasthan Police said on Wednesday that 38 women and children were kidnapped by about 100 people in Baman Devriyan village of Unor police station area in Jhalawar, who have been rescued. However, the reason for the abduction is not yet clear.

Speaking to the media, Jhalawar SP Dr Kiran Kang Sindhu said that around 100 people with swords and other weapons came to the village and abducted women and children. He said, ‘We got information that about 100 people had come to Baman Devriyan village of Unor police station area in Jhalawar, Rajasthan. They came in buses and other vehicles from Alot police station area of ​​Ratlam district in Madhya Pradesh. He had many weapons including knives and swords, on the basis of which he kidnapped women and children in Baman Devriyan village.

According to Sindhu, after this information, the police immediately took action and police officers reached the spot and rescued 38 women and children. Police also detained six people. Weapons have been recovered from them. SP Sindhu said that the police have registered a case under the relevant sections of the IPC in this case and efforts are being made to arrest the absconding accused.
