Phoebe Robinson was born on Friday, September 28, 1984 (age 36 years; as of 2020), in Bedford, Ohio, United States. She did her schooling at Gilmour Academy, Ohio. In 2002, she pursued a course in screenwriting at Pratt Institute in New York City. After completing her formal education, she started working as a receptionist at New Line Cinema, New York. Later, she got promoted to the position of assistant to the head of New Line Cinema’s indie company, Picture House. Although during her college days, she was an active member of the improv group, stand-up comedy wasn’t her forte until 2008, when a friend urged her to take stand-up comedy lessons at Carolines School of Comedy in New York City.

Phoebe Robinson began her career as a screenwriter for the television series Portlandia (2011) and Girl Code (2013). Thereafter, in 2016, she worked as a consultant for the third season of the American television sitcom Broad City.
