Lalit Yadav was born on Friday, 3 January 1997 (age 24 years; as of 2021) in Najafgarh, New Delhi. His zodiac sign is Capricorn. Lalit began playing cricket at a very young age and he played his first Under-12 match in Delhi for Delhi Public School, Dwarka. He began practicing for more tournaments and completed his schooling from National Institute of Open Schooling. After completing his schooling, he went to Swami Shraddhanand College in Delhi University to earn a bachelors degree.

Career

After completing his formal education, Lalit Yadav began his career as a cricketer. He made his debut in first-class cricket in November 2017 with Ranji Trophy. In January 2018, Lalit made his Twenty20 debut for Delhi cricket team as a batsman for the 2017-2018 Zonal T20 League. Lalit Yadav participated in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in January 2018 and the team won the tournament. During one of the local T20 tournaments, Lalit Yadav hit six 6’s in an over two times in a match. Lalit Yadav was bought by Delhi Capitals for Rs. 20 lakhs for the Indian Premier League 2020. In February 2020, Lalit Yadav was appointed as tax accountant at Income Tax Department by the Government of India.

  • Before leaving India for 2020 IPL, Lalit Yadav stayed in a a farmhouse with Rishabh Pant, Mohit Sharma and Ishant Sharma. They are his teammates in Delhi Capitals and together they all used to practice at the farmhouse.
