Josh Brener was born as Joshua M. Brener on Monday, October 1, 1984 (age 36 years; as of 2020), in Houston, Texas. He attended Bellaire High School, Bellaire, Texas. Later, he pursued his graduation at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Josh Brener was the president of Hasty Pudding Theatricals, a theatrical organization of students of Harvard University, where he developed his improv and comedy skills. Post his graduation, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting.

Since his television debut, Overkill (2008) in which he played the role of The Overkiller, Josh Brener appeared in various shows like Glory Daze (2010), House of Lies (2012), Workaholics (2013), etc. Later, in 2013, he appeared in the American television sitcom ‘The Big Bang Theory’ in which he played the recurring role of Dale.

In the same year, he starred as Kyle in the show Maron. In 2014, he struck stardom with the show Silicon Valley in which he played one of the protagonists “Nelson ‘Big Head’ Bighetti.”

In 2018, he played the role of Dave Albers in the show Highly Gifted. Thereafter, in 2016, he started working as a voice-over artist in various animated series such as 101 Dalmatian Street Shorts (2018-2019), DuckTales (2017-2020), Star Wars Resistance (2018-2020), Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2018-2020), etc.
