Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Monday requested the Government of India to confer the very best civilian award ‘Bharat Ratna’ on famous playback singer SP Balasubramanian. Balasubramanian died on 25 September.
In a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Reddy stated, “For the final 5 many years, he (Balasubramaniam) has finished exceptional work which has been enshrined in our reminiscence. It will likely be a real tribute to his work. “

The Chief Minister stated, “It is a privilege of Andhra Pradesh that here (SPS Nellore District) great music composer SP Balasubramaniam was born. His untimely demise has not only upset Indian fans but has also affected the international music world. ”
Reddy stated, “Lata Mangeshkar, Bhupen Hazarika, MS Subbalakshmi, Ustad Bismillah Khan and Pandit Bhimsen Joshi got Bharat Ratna. For my contribution to the world of music and artwork, I request the good singer Balasubramaniam to be honored with Bharat Ratna.
