Prior to the Test match between India and Australia in Sydney from January 7, Team India has included Tej Gadbaj T Natarajan in the team in place of Umesh Yadav. Umesh was injured during the Boxing-Day Test match, after which he is now out of the entire Test series. The tour has been nothing short of a dream for T Natarajan, who came to Australia as a net bowler. After being included in the T20 and ODI teams, Natarajan has also been included in the Test team and is expected to make his debut in the third Test. Former fast bowler Rud Pratap Singh wrote on his Twitter after T Natarajan was included in the team before the third Test against Australia, ‘Who is writing Natarajan’s script? I can’t remember an inspirational story better than T. Natarajan. A bowling player from a net bowler and now in the Test team. I wish his great form continued from the IPL. What a beginning T Natarajan accompanied the team on a tour of Australia as a net bowler, followed by the inclusion of Natarajan in the T20 squad when Varun Chakraborty was dropped.

Natarajan, however, was included in the squad in the first third ODI of the T20 series and was named in the playing eleven. In his first international match, the fast bowler was impressed and took 2 wickets to his name. Subsequently, Natarajan made a big impact with his bowling in the T20 series and took the maximum 6 wickets. Natarajan had a great performance in IPL 2020 and he earned a lot of accolades due to his accurate yorker.
