Career

Dr GV Krishna Reddy has worked on various infrastructure projects and has completed milestone projects in record time like India’s first Independent Power Project at Jegurupadu, Andhra Pradesh, India’s first six-lane expressway connecting Jaipur-Kishangarh-Rajasthan, and the renovation and modernization of Mumbai’s international airport.

He has collaborated with the Taj Group of Hotels to operate and launch the Taj GVK hospitality chain which comprises four luxury hotels in Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Chennai, and Mumbai.

One of his most important projects is the formation of “GVK EMRI” which has been providing services efficiently across the nation. GVK EMRI is the only well organised, professional, and free emergency service providers in India also known as ‘108 Emergency Response Service’ that is providing services in 15 states and 2 Union Territories.

It has not only provided emergency services but has also generated employment for more than 50,000 people. With its 14,000 state-of-the-art ambulances, it has successfully helped in providing services to around 850 million people and has saved lakhs of lives per year.

In July 2016, in collaboration with the Government of Sri Lanka, Dr GV Krishna Reddy successfully started the 1900 Suwaseriya service aka GVK EMRI Lanka with the help of the Indian government. Within two years, the Sri Lankan Government expanded its services throughout the nation. Dr GV Krishna Reddy has been actively involved in imparting the GVK EMRI services in various communities.

Keeping in view his love for lawn tennis, his foundation has started a tennis academy in Hyderabad to encourage people to learn and play lawn tennis. He even donated a part of his ancestral property to provide funds for the construction of a CBSE affiliated school ‘GVK ChinmayaVidyalaya’ which is run by the Chinmaya Mission in the Nellore district, Andhra Pradesh. Apart from this, his foundation has provided funds for the establishment of a state-of-the-art Radiology Department at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Nellore.
