She did her schooling at Mumbai’s Bombay International School and went to St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai to pursue her graduation. Anaita was obsessed with fashion from a very young age. While in college, she used to spend all her pocket money to buy magazines like Vogue and Seventeen. She often ended up cutting out fashion prints from the magazines and pasting them in her file. After completing her graduation, Anaita worked briefly with the director and producer Mahesh Mathai. However, she didn’t enjoyed the work and decided to take a travelling break. While travelling, she used to observe people’s dressing styles. When she returned from her holiday in London, she bagged an offer to work with the fashion magazine “Elle.”

Career

As a Costume Designer & Fashion Stylist

Anaita started her career as an assistant fashion editor in 1996 with the Elle magazine. She then worked at the french magazine L’Officiel India as a fashion editor for a while. Subsequently, she joined Vogue India as a fashion director.

She is the founder and owner of the Style Cell Company, a fashion and styling ensemble.
