However, things changed for her when she landed a major guest role in the eleventh season of British science fiction television program ‘Doctor Who’ in 2018. In 2019, Amita got the opportunity to work in the second season of the American fantasy-adventure drama television series ‘The Outpost.’

Amita Suman was listed in the cast of the upcoming Netflix series ‘Shadow and Bone.’ The show is an adaption of fantasy book series ‘The Grisha Trilogy’ and the ‘Six of Crows Duology’ by Leigh Bardugo. Other cast members are Jessie Mei Li, Ben Barnes, Freddy Carter, etc. The show is scheduled to premiere on 23 April 2021.
