Disney is one of the biggest cartoon producers in the world, if not the best. Whether it’s Cinderella, Frozen or Cars, the vast majority of Disney productions have met with immense success. Either way, there are some that are much less well known than others. Even though these cartoons have much less notoriety than the others, most of these works remain very interesting Disney creations. Here are 10 Disney movies that deserve more attention.
10. Oliver and Company (1988)
Based on Charles Dickens’ famous novel Oliver Twist, the cartoon Oliver and Company tells the story of an orphan kitten – Oliver – who meets a pack of dogs living on the streets of New York. After being adopted by a wealthy little girl named Jenny, Oliver is kidnapped and held for ransom by a loan shark determined to get his money back. It is then that Oliver’s new friends embark on a mission to save him.
When it was released in 1988, this cartoon was very successful. Sadly, it did not become a famous classic for the firm, as it did in The Little Mermaid which was released a year later. Indeed, few people remember Oliver and Company, and this generation has probably never heard of it.
